US charges crypto founders over alleged support The North Korean hackers

Co-founders of cryptocurrency have been charged by the United States of America with money purging and various other corruptions. Later the Russian-founded platforms were banned with the allegation that they supported North Korean hackers.

Roman Semenov and Storm were charged with the alleged money laundering, sanction violations, and unlicensed money-transmitting business declared by the US justice on Wednesday.

Damian Williams, US Attorney stated

While publicly claiming to offer a technically sophisticated privacy service, Storm and Semenov, in fact, knew that they were helping hackers and fraudsters conceal the fruits of their crimes”

Klein said 

“Mr Storm has been cooperating with the prosecutors’ investigation since last year and disputes that he engaged in any criminal conduct,”

The US treasury announced a sanctions against Semenov

“There is a lot more to this story that will come out at trial.”

Legal representative of Semenov did not reach out for comment but Pertsev’s lawyer did not respond to the appeal quickly.
